Hereville is coming back. When? No promises. The good news: So after a creative block lasting well over a year, I’m back on track, and I’ve been producing new Hereville pages regularly. (5 new pages done in the last month). The bad news: I’m not posting them yet. Given the problems I’ve had keeping Hereville on schedule in the past, I’ve decided to wait until the “How Mirka Got a Sword” short story is complete before I post new pages. That way, new pages will appear as scheduled, without breaks, until the entire story is posted. Plus, it’ll give me a significant “cushion” as I begin drawing the next story. Due to work and travel, I expect to have less “Hereville” time in December and January, and that “How Mirka Got A Sword” will be completed in April, at which point I’ll start posting pages every week again. But that’s just a guess; it may end up being earlier or later than that. For anyone who’s still interested in Hereville — thank you! During this long, long break, it’s really meant a lot to me that people still ask me when more Hereville will be coming out. (There is a Livejournal on which I’m showing a handful of folks new pages as they’re produced — not just the finished pages, but also sometimes pages in progress — in order to get feedback and suggested improvements. If you’d be interested in doing that, and think you’d enjoy giving constructive feedback on art, let me know).

Hereville will be on hiatus until August 10thSorry for the lack up updates lately. Partly it’s been work, partly it’s been the weather, but mostly it’s been my usual problems getting anything done. For the near future, however, nothing will get done because I’ll be gallivanting around the country (well, New York, anyhow) for the next couple of weeks. I hope to resume Hereville updates on August 10th.

Another week with no “Hereville” updateSorry, folks – getting the Dollars and Sense cartoon written and drawn took far, far longer than I expected. There’s no good reason for that – nothing about the cartoon should have been especially difficult – but not only did it take too long to write, I ended up redrawing every element over and over. Sometimes it goes like that. Anyhow, I’ll try to get two Hereville pages done in the next week to make up for it (but no promises).

No new “Hereville” page this week. There won’t be any new Hereville page this week, due to the combined effects of throwing a July 4th bash, and a deadline for Dollars and Sense magazine this week. Page 33 will be posted here next week, though.

Page 32 is online.Well, sort of. I promised some friends I’d go out to dinner tonight, but I fell behind in getting page 32 done, so what’s online now is the black-and-white art for page 32. I’ll update with the colors sometime tomorrow. UPDATE: The color artwork is now online. (Phew!)
