Great Short Animated Film — “Out of Sight”
This short, from three recent graduates of the National Taiwan University of Arts, is lovely. I also like the way the little girl is depicted — she’s a bit frightened at first, but she’s not at all depicted as helpless or incapable.

This reminds me mostly of the film “Majo no TakkyÅ«bin” [Witch’s Delivery Service] or as it’s most commonly known as “Kiki’s Delivery Service” by Hayao Miyazaki.

A lovely depiction of blindness. And yes, you can tell they love Miyazaki’s work very much. 🙂

That is an interesting insight – pardon the pun – since I would have never thought about it being a depiction of blindness.

This reminds me a bit of “Alma” by Rodrigo Blaas, except that Alma is in CGI and it doesn’t have a happy ending. So, “out of sight” is much better.
